When you start an assessment, your child answers 10 questions. The quiz adapts in real-time: correct answers increase difficulty, while incorrect ones decrease it. After 10 questions, we calculate a precise grade-level equivalent for each subject. This level drives worksheet generation — ensuring every worksheet is the right challenge for your child.
Skill levels are displayed as grade equivalents. Here's how to read them:
0
Kindergarten
1.0
Grade 1
2.5
Mid-Grade 2
3.8
Advanced Grade 3

How do I add another child?
Click "Add Child" on your dashboard. Each child gets their own profile with personalized assessments and worksheets.
Can I print worksheets?
Yes! Click "Print Worksheet" to print a formatted page with your child's name, grade, subject, a QR code, and instructions. Printed worksheets show a "Needs Grading" badge on the dashboard until graded.
How often should we do assessments?
We recommend reassessing every 4-6 weeks to keep worksheets matched to your child's growing skills.
What grades are supported?
GrovaKid supports Kindergarten through Grade 5 (ages 5-11). All content is aligned to Common Core standards.
How does the adaptive assessment work?
The quiz adjusts difficulty based on your child's answers. Correct answers increase difficulty; incorrect ones decrease it — finding the right level in just 10 questions.
What do the skill levels mean?
Levels map to grade equivalents: 0 = Kindergarten, 1.0 = Grade 1, 2.5 = mid-Grade 2, etc. A score above 0.8 means strong mastery of that sub-topic.
How do I grade a completed worksheet?
Scan the QR code on page 1 to open the dashboard, then tap "Scan." Select all pages of the completed worksheet at once (multi-page upload). AI grades everything in seconds — you'll see a toast with the score and a detailed results card. The dashboard updates immediately with worksheet averages and per-skill breakdowns.
Is my child's data safe?
Yes. We follow COPPA guidelines — minimal data collection, no ad trackers on child-facing pages, and uploaded photos are processed and immediately discarded.
